N.J. Thornton Dry Stone Walling

Dividing Boundary Wall, Utley

West Yorkshire

For this project in Utley, West Yorkshire, we were commissioned to construct a dividing boundary wall using traditional dry stone walling techniques. The goal was to create a structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing boundary that would stand the test of time while blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

The work involved carefully selecting and placing natural stone to ensure stability without the use of mortar. Precision craftsmanship was essential to maintain a consistent height and alignment, creating an effective and visually appealing boundary. We also integrated the new wall with existing structures to achieve a seamless transition between old and new stonework. Using locally sourced materials, we ensured that the construction remained in keeping with the character of the area.

The finished wall provides a clear and durable division between properties while enhancing the natural beauty of the location. Another successful example of our commitment to high-quality dry stone walling.
